Update: And...total misunderstanding, as Mike just clarified with us he's not leaving Microsoft or the Windows Phone team. In which case, you should now take the opportunity to learn about Mike and his work. Our apologies to Mike for any confusion.
Mike's influence over design aspects of the Zune, KIN and Windows Phone is quite impressive. From his bio:
"I'm a Creative Director at Microsoft, in the Windows Phone design studio, currently leading the Windows Phone Apps Design team. Previously I was the UX Creative Director for the Windows Phone KIN and other incubation design projects.Before Microsoft, I was with Nokia Design's Insight + Innovation team. The I+I team, based in Los Angeles, is Nokia’s incubation studio, developing new ideas and products, as well as next generation design concepts."
